George Lucas says he originally planned to direct Star Wars VII
So I feel I should add a little commentary to this link. It’s not that I don’t appreciate that Lucas was the creator of Star Wars and brought many technical innovations to the film industry (if not for him there wouldn’t be a Pixar), but the man is a sloppy writer and a boring director. He’s an idea man, but he should leave the details to those with defter hands.
